Race Information

COURSE: The USATF certified and sanctioned course starts approximately 11 miles up scenic Hwy. 128 and parallels the Colorado River into Moab. The course continues on Hwy. 191 and through the streets of Moab to City Park and the finish line. The Five Mile Run starts approximately 3 miles up Hwy. 128 and follows the same course as the half marathon. The course is rolling.

USATF recently modified their ruling on headphones at USATF sanctioned events.  Runners may now wear headphones and music players while participating in our events.  For safety reasons, we require that you use only one headphone/earbud while running.  This is to ensure you can hear other runners and race or safety vehicles approaching.

RACE START TIMES:
Five Mile Run – 9:30 AM
Half Marathon – 10:00 AM

TIMING: The race is being timed utilizing computer chip technology.  You must follow instructions on the use of your chip and you must return the chip following the race.  Unreturned chips will result in a charge. Official time used for the races will be gun time. Competitive runners should plan accordingly.

Mile markers are at each mile for both races.

TRANSFERS/CHANGES:
There are no transfers and no waiting list.

WEATHER:
Temperatures on race day have varied from 23-88°F. It is advisable to dress in layers. Both start areas are partly shaded-wear warm clothes to the start that can be discarded or placed in sweat bag prior to race start.
