REGISTRATION:
* The race is limited to the first 2000 entrants.
* Entry forms are available online or by mail.
* Registration over the phone or faxed entry
forms will NOT be accepted.
* There will be NO race day registration.
* A confirmation email will be sent upon registration acceptance.
* A confirmation postcard will be mailed to you in September.
* Registration (both online and mail-in) will close
when the maximum field of 2000 participants has
been reached.
* Refunds, name transfers or deferments are
not permitted.

All participants will receive a long sleeve technical shirt, unique finisher medal, timing chip, delicious post race refreshments, beer from one of Utah’s outstanding microbreweries, reusable sweat bag, bus ride to the start, and the privilege of running through some of the most beautiful scenery in the country!

PACKET PICKUP:
Race packets containing bib, safety pins, race shirt, race program, and assorted other fun goodies can be picked up Saturday, October 16, 11 am–7 pm at Moab Valley Inn, 711 S Main St. There is no packet pickup on race day. There are no refunds and no transfers.

AWARDS:
Unique prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female winners,1st male and female masters, and male and female age group places 1-3 in the following categories: 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-up.

The Awards Ceremony will take place at approximately 11:15 AM to award the top 3 overall winners, masters winners, and the top three finisher in each age group.

RACE MERCHANDISE:
Hats, water bottles, socks, tech wear, pint glasses, and other race memorabilia will be available at packet pickup and the finish line expo.


SWEATS:
Vehicles will transport reusable sweat bags (part of your race packet) from the start line to the finish. We are not responsible for any lost articles.There will be a lost and found at the finish area sweat pick up.

COURSE:
The half marathon starts at the historic Dewey Bridge site on the Colorado River, near mile post 30 of Highway 128 just outside of Moab. The course parallels the river, amid backdrops of gorgeous scenery, including prominent landmarks Fisher Towers, Castle Rock, and the La Sal Mountains. The first seven miles roll gently; miles 8-12 contain some short hills and mile 13 is a fast downhill to the lush green finish at Sorrel River Ranch Resort.

Please Note: dogs, bicycles, strollers, and skates are not allowed on the course. Dogs are not allowed at the Finish area.

Highway 128 will be closed to traffic from 7-11:30 AM.

COURSE SUPPORT:
Water, Gatorade Endurance Formula, coffee, hot chocolate and porta-potties will be available at the start line area. There are six aid stations every 2 miles along the course. Aid stations will have Gatorade Endurance Formula, water and porta-potties. Mile 6 Aid Station will also have energy gels.

COURSE TIME LIMIT: The course will officially close at 12:00 PM, 3 1/2 hours after the start. This allows an approximate pace of 16 minute miles. At 12:00 if you have not finished the race, you can catch a ride in the sweep vehicle or finish on your own.

PARKING, BUSES, SHUTTLES:

Runner Shuttle to Start: Buses will pickup runners at Moab Valley Inn and HMK Elementary School at 6:30 AM and transport to the race start. Buses will depart from Red Cliff Lodge, Sorrel River Ranch and the Gravel Park Lot at MM 16 at 7:00 AM and transport to the race start. In order to ensure a timely race start, we need your cooperation in arriving in a timely manner. Parking at HMK and Moab Valley Inn is limited; please plan to walk, jog, or carpool to the bus loading areas. Do not park in church lots, business lots, or block driveways.

You will be required to show your bib number in order to board the bus.

Post race Runner Shuttle: Shuttles will depart from the finish area at Sorrel River Ranch and return to the Gravel Park Lot every half hour from 9:30 AM-1 PM. These shuttles are on a first-come/first-serve basis. Shuttles to Moab are limited and will leave as needed.

Spectator parking will be available at the Gravel Park Lot approximately 1 mile west of the finish area. Shuttles will run to/from the finish area at Sorrel River Ranch every half hour from 9:30 AM -1 PM. .

PASTA DINNER:

A delicious feast of pasta, veggie and meat marinara, pesto, salad, bread, garlic butter, dessert, and beverages will be available Saturday, October 16 from 5:00–8:00 PM. The dinner will take place at Moab Valley Inn and is a fund raiser for the Youth Garden Project.
