The Winter Sun 10k road race is a fun filled small town run that takes place in early December when the air in Moab is crisp and the skies are blue and sunny. Hence the name. The run starts at the Moab Golf Course, wanders through the neighborhoods of Moab and finishes at the Grand County High School Track.

The mostly flat or downhill course is sure to produce fast times for many a runner. In addition to receiving a colorful long sleeve tech shirt and plenty of delicious food treats, runners are eligible for prizes donated by numerous local merchants.

Triple Crown Award

Those who run the 2013 Canyonlands Half Marathon or 5 Mile, 2013 The Other Half and 2013 Winter Sun 10K will be eligible for the Triple Crown Award.  If you think you are eligible, you should register for the WS10K by November 11.  Triple Crown Awards will be presented at the Winter Sun 10K awards ceremony and include a Guarantee Entry to the 2013 Canyonlands Half Marathon!

  Fun course and atmosphere, all the staff / volunteers have great attitudes. Really like the long sleeve tech tee much more than cotton tees at most runs, don't change that. Sweat trailer is also great. Keep up the excellent work!!
  
  Running this race is a tradition and I have enjoyed watching it grow over the last seven years. The running events in Moab are the best organized running events I run all year. It is worth the trip to participate in this race and enjoy the city of Moab. I hope to continue this tradition for years to come.
